RISE Theatre's BRAND NEW theatre production & interactive day - a treasure hunt theatre adventure for whole primary schools exploring the 7 principles of Catholic Social Teaching and how these inspiring treasures can be applied to every child. Designed to enhance your CST curriculum.
What's 'Treasure Within' about?
Treasure Within's theatrical story by RISE Theatre follows a school child who is set a unique homework assignment - to find 7 treasures (Catholic Social Teaching principles), in 7 different locations, and apply them to their own lives. With a modern treasure map (a tablet), the child invites the school to join them as they search for these treasures in some unlikely places such as in a junk shop, library, science museum and even a journey with some familiar Saints!

What does the day involve?
Throughout the day children will experience a dramatic morning assembly and part 1 of the show from RISE Theatre, interactive workshops for KS1 & KS2 led by RISE Theatre, creative resources provided for teacher led classroom activities, and an exciting afternoon show for the whole school. Accompanied by interactive visuals and original songs by Charley Tidy, this day offers something unique and on Catholic Social Teaching.
Children are encouraged to remain curious throughout the day and explore the principles for themselves. The group workshop in the hall will be a chance work alongside our RISE Theatre team and use their imagination to discover one of the treasures/principles. Creative classroom activities provide children with opportunities to delve deeper with their teachers as they complete activities together to find a particular treasure. (Classroom activity packs supplied by Rise Theatre 2 weeks in advance for your teachers to facilitate).

There are many aspects that also complement the principles of the Common Good in The Church of England primary curriculum. Age appropriate examples are demonstrated throughout the story, encouraging children to think about ways they can live out CST principles at school and in the wider community. What does it cost?
Treasure Within offers an all day programme for the whole school to get involved in from Reception to Year 6.
(Please note this day is not suitable for nursery).
We have kept costs as affordable as possible by offering 4 new price categories based on school size:

£599 - under 325 children
£649 - under 450 children
£699 - all other schools
