Felton C of E Primary School, Felton

Thank you so much to RISE Theatre company for a fantastic day.  All the children from Nursery to Year 6 were engaged and captivated by the workshops, activities and of course the performance.  The songs were catchy and repeated the overall message extremely well, our vicar is keen to keep singing them in collective worship.  I would highly recommend RISE theatre company and the impact of this highly entertaining day will be felt for months to come.

The interaction between the staff and children was brilliant! The children really took the message on board and, when back in class, linked it to the CST units confidently. They now all want to change the world!

Farnsfield St Michael's C of E Primary School, Nottingham

RISE Theatre gave us a fantastic off-timetable day on the theme of 'God's Planet'. It was an engaging day for the whole school on a very relevant topic. The interactive workshops for each key stage, in the morning, were a great introduction to the performance in the afternoon and enables the children to feel fully involved in the performance - which in itself was fantastic and a great balance between humour and sharing an important message. The classroom activities were also an excellent addition and provided many thought provoking moments. We would thoroughly recommend RISE Theatre!

St Anne's Catholic Primary School, Coventry
Our children absolutely loved having RISE theatre in school for the day. A really wonderful day of fun, laughter and engaging activities all conveying a really important message.

St John Fisher School, Pinner
This was a great day to engage the children into Gods planet and how we can make it better and care for it. The children had a fantastic day and were engaged throughout. The activities provided enable the teacher to prepare the class for the assembly and show and to continue the learning
in the classroom.

St George and St Teresa’s Catholic School, Birmingham
Our staff found the children were enthused when they watched the dramatics and really took on board the messages of the day and the importance of protecting God’s Planet. The children spoke of the importance of being good citizens

St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, Birmingham
Our children thoroughly enjoyed the day. The performers were entertaining but informative at the same time. The subject matter was relevant and taught through a way in which children were engaged. The messages were clear and the children could remember these - especially the song.

Lady Elizabeth Hastings C of E Primary School, Castleford
The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshops but most of all, they enjoyed the whole school performance at the end of the day. This was an excellent way of getting the environmental message across to all children. It will be a springboard for our next courageous advocacy project.

2023

Our Lady of the Magnificat, Alcester
I cannot tell you the buzz it created around school, not just on the day the actors performed but for the rest of the week. The impact was astounding! I had parents commenting on how the children had gone home to share what they had learnt, and staff could not speak highly enough of the engagement with the class activities following the workshop sessions - the prayers from year 5/6 were amazing. Thank you to you and your incredibly talented team - I am sure all the schools in the MAC will be joining us in booking you again next year.

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Coventry
The staff from Rise Theatre were fantastic to work with. Everything was so well organised from the initial booking to the day. The children were engaged  and excited about the day from the assembly because of the enthusiasm of the Rise Staff. The assembly was full of humour and gave the key messages in a fun and child friendly way. Throughout the day, the children were able to actively participate in every activity and the whole school performance at the end of the day tied it all in together perfectly.

Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Essex
The RISE Theatre Company's performance of God's Planet gave our children a day full of fun and learning. The theme complemented our work on Catholic Social teaching and really brought the theme of 'stewardship' and caring for God's planet alive. The children had a great time.

Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School, Herefordshire
We have thoroughly enjoyed the performance of God’s Planet by the RISE Theatre Company, it followed brilliantly on the work of Creation we did as a school and provided a fun, engaging and all-embracing message of God’s Creation and our responsibility to look after our world. An enjoyable day for the whole school community teaching the importance of taking care of God’s Planet in a fun and memorable way.

Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School, Leeds
The children were really excited to learn about God's Planet. The day was well structured; the children enjoyed taking part in the different activities especially the performance in the afternoon. Sarah and Joshua really brought the theme to life so much so that classes have undertaken to create their own God's Planet in their classrooms. A superb day! Thank you.

St George and St Martin Catholic Academy, Stoke
We really didn’t know what to expect, but Sarah and Lydia exceeded all expectations! The final performance was brilliant and the children loved taking part in the songs. The whole day gave our school an opportunity to reflect on God’s wonderful world and how we can all play a part. The classroom based activities were excellent.

St. Mary’s Catholic Academy, Stoke
All at St. Mary’s, staff and children alike, had a great day, working alongside the ‘God’s Planet Theatre group’. The communication, prior to the visit, was clear and ensured the smooth running of the day. The initial whole school assembly was fantastic; it set the scene and the mind-set for the day ahead. All staff were complimentary of the workshops and the suggested activities were age appropriate and fun! The afternoon session really brought the whole school community together and the strong message was delivered in a very clever, repetitive and meaningful manner; all children were encouraged to participate which meant that they were listening, watching and saying the message clearly. Thank-you so much for your professionalism and energy, we loved it!

All of us enjoyed our day with the RISE team. It has been a fantastic day filled with so many activities. The songs, drama element and theme carried throughout the day was brilliant. So many of our children have been singing God's Planet with the actions and it has been great to see such an important message shared with the children in such an interactive way. The children will forever remember their day with your team. Your team are brilliant and thank you for all that you do for us.

A lovely fun day for all pupils to enjoy, giving them a chance to be active and creative when thinking about how best to help save the planet. The children had a fantastic day, they enjoyed every aspect. They enjoyed the workshops where they learnt the songs and actions. The best part was the performance. The children loved the interactive nature and loved learning how to look after Gods planet. They have since been sharing different ways they can care for the planet.

God’s Planet Day was fun and interactive. There were many activities to be carried out in class before or on the day which kept the children focussed to the objective. All children and staff enjoyed watching and participating in the show. The message, that we have to take care of God’s planet, was clearly shared with the children and is something we can keep referring back to.

St. Joseph’s Cathedral Primary School, Swansea
The interactive performance of God’s planet by Rise Theatre was a perfect accompaniment to our work on stewardship. It has been cleverly written and constructed for whole school participation and we loved the fact that all children across our school community were able to come together to explore practical ways we can care for our planet. Our children engaged well with the interactive element and participated with much excitement, joining in with the actions and catchy songs. It was accessible for all children and appealed to all ages. Staff also found the God’s planet accompanying teachers pack useful and it was packed full of creative approaches to deliver this part of our Religious curriculum .

St Josephs Cathedral Primary School, Wigan
This show is definitely one to book! The children and staff at our school thoroughly enjoyed the performance from start to finish. The theme of the show was really current and the message was very clear. The two performers were full of energy and captivated the whole audience. We loved it!!

2021
St Basil’s, Halton
The guys did an absolutely awesome job and I am sure they must have been exhausted after such an intense day. Please pass on our thanks and admiration to them both. To see, hear and feel the buzz around school today was just wonderful - everywhere I have been children have been humming and singing "Who's planet, God's planet....!" It has been particularly special for the children following the lockdowns they have endured, and of course our younger children have never ever experienced any visitors in school. The timing of this theme ahead of the upcoming COP 26 climate change conference in November has been perfect - well done to your whole team on planning such an excellent experience. Finally, just a word on the videos which we used to prepare the children. They were spot on! Pitched perfectly, clear and appealing, staff have found them really good and easy to use.

St Benedict's Catholic Primary School, Cheshire
We have used Rise twice now and both times, the children have thoroughly enjoyed it. Because each activity is different, the year groups all take some enjoyment from it. We like the way that Gospel messages and scripture are interwoven with art and drama to create an immersive experience. The actors are fun and engaging and inspire the children. The day is well planned and organised. Despite very last minute changes by us (due to COVID), the actors were able to adapt the performance so that all children had the experience in a safe manner. We highly recommend RISE and will use them again.

St Joseph's, Bacup
St Joseph's loved taking part in the God's planet day. The day was well organised and engaging for staff and children. It had a strong Catholic ethos and allowed children to be reflective throughout the day. Thank you

St Mary's Catholic Primary Academy, Wolverhampton
We booked RISE theatre after a recommendation from our Diocese. We were unsure what to expect, especially with potentially running the day alongside COVID restrictions. From the beginning of the enquiry and booking journey, everything was made easy and our day was able to be tailored to meet our school's needs. There were plenty of options for us to choose from in case of COVID restrictions but thankfully we managed to organise a day to meet the best of both worlds. This was the first event our children had experienced in a long time and it was worth the wait and money. The experience fell within the COP26 climate summit and everything was linked to this along with our responsibility to be stewards of creation. The children got so much out of this experience and thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities and workshops but, in particular, the final show. We would definitely recommend RISE theatre to anyone and can't wait to see what else there is on offer!

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Corby
I would fully recommend RISE to anyone thinking about booking a day. Our school community had the most wonderful time working and worshipping together and the children were delighted to be part of something so special. They especially loved the beautiful songs and are still singing them now! The pre-day organisation and communication were second to none and enabled us all to have a thoroughly enjoyable and very special day.
Thankyou, RISE!

Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School, Wanstead
RISE Theatre have visited our school on more than one occasion. Not only are the staff on the phone incredibly helpful and accommodating, the performers who came kept our children enthralled throughout the day. The themes were relevant and relatable, the songs were catchy, the performers were entertaining and ultimately the message was clear. The resources and activity suggestions sent to us beforehand were of great use for our staff who could then plan sessions closely linked to the theme of the day. We feel very happy to have shared the day with them and look forward to doing so again in the future.

Our Lady and St Rose of Lima Catholic Primary School, Birmingham
We had an amazing day learning all about God's beautiful creation and what we can do to help care for the world. The children are still singing, "Whose planet? God's planet! What (are) we gonna do about it?". It was so wonderful to hear and see the children so excited, happy and engaged. Everything about the day was brilliant. The songs were catchy, the stage set-up was very professional, the children loved the class activities and the workshops, but they definitely enjoyed the assembly and the end of day performance the most. The actors from Rise Theatre - Richard and Marcus were absolutely fantastic. A credit to you most definitely. They were so engaging and full of energy from the get go. Both the children and the staff got so much out of this day and we can't wait to hopefully book something with you again in the near future.
